catching up from the beach

Our family has been enjoying a stay on Martha's Vineyard this week and with little time to myself and a very temperamental internet connection, I have been way behind on posting some recent sessions.  The exciting news is it looks like we will be returning to the vineyard again next summer and I am considering opening my schedule a few sessions in July.  Will post the details and many images soon!

So I'm dropping by to share a few of this beautiful baby girl of a family I had the pleasure of photographing both before and after her big arrival.  We have an album in the works from the two sessions and I can't wait to see everything come together to tell their family's story...

I'm shooting in CT again and can't wait to preview these images for mom and dad.  I just love how the first two work together in an adorable "peek-a-boo" series...

I wanted to share a few shots from last week of this gorgeous mom-to-be and I just could not narrow them down!  Well, it's not everyday that you get to photograph a girlfriend you have known since 7th grade expecting here first baby on one of Chicago's beaches! So here's a huge sneak peek at some of my favorites and I, of course, cannot wait to meet this little one...

Another Chicago family I had the pleasure of seeing again on my visit.  This little guy was just a week old and wow, do you look just like your big sister did at her newborn session!  It's just amazing...

and I cannot get over how much her new little sister loves to pose for the camera!  Would you believe she is only 4 weeks old??  So great to meet you little one!

Chicago sessions...{part 1}

Whew, it's been quite a week and I have tons to share from our 5-day shooting schedule in Chicago.  I can't tell you how great it was to see everyone again!  Here are some favorites so far...

And I have been photographing this sweet little 2-year-old since she was a newborn!   I have a fun storyboard in the works from the swing series...

and the last time I saw this little one she was only 7 weeks old!  Wow, how you have grown (and for only 12 months, wow, are you fast!).  Happy 1st birthday!!

Checking in after day one of the Chicago sessions to share a few images of my dear sweet niece Olivia.  Yes, I am a bit biased, but she is the sweetest "almost" 2-year-old I have ever met (and I have had 2 of my own pass through the age).  We all had a special get-together this week in Michigan and while the "big kids" were off playing and we were all going gaga over her 8-week-old baby sister, I took her outside for a special photo shoot....
