So, dropping back over here to finally show my dear girlfriend some sneak peeks from our New Buffalo session this past August...yes, it's been a really long time since I took these...but...I finally had a little peace and quiet around here in between visitor here in London and a few fun weekend adventures.

I just couldn't decide on a few favorites, so there are quite a few....and I can't believe I have been photographing all three girls since they were newborns (actually I think the twins were my very first official entrance into the world of newborn photography and they just turned 11).  Wow, where has all the time gone!!

the last of my Connecticut sessions...

I think it was fitting that my very last session in CT happened to be with a family that I had first met in Chicago about 3 years ago!  We did a photography session together with their then 1-year-old baby girl while they were visiting the Windy City.  So, fast forward to this month and they now have another 1-year-old in the family!  I had to chance to catch-up with them first at home and then over at Darien's Weed beach.

Here is one I dug out of the archives from 3 years ago...

it's raining 1-year-olds!

at least it feels like it to me!  I am completing the last of the sessions here in CT this week and working around all this New England rain has been quite a challenge.  I also cannot believe the run I have had with babies just around the 1-year mark ~ one of my very favorite ages to capture!    Well, we finally had some much over-due sunshine on  Wednesday and I had the pleasure of seeing this little guy again...so nice to see how much bigger you have become since last fall...

 

and I love the feel of summer in the images we captured outside...

 

 

another birthday baby...

Yeah!  I have finally captured by littlest niece Anna at 1-year (ok, she is actually 14 months now, but I had to delay the one-year shoot until we were back in Michigan).  I am assembling a first year matted album for her now to show off some of our favorite shots throughout the year and I can't wait to have it ready.  Here she is at about 10 days old...

and here she is today as a running, jumping and attempting-to-crawl-out-of-the-crib toddler...

I recently photographed this adorable little boy just after his first birthday.  I just can't get over all his cute expressions...waaaay too hard to narrow down just a few favorites!!  Here's a sneak peek for mom and I'm working on getting your gallery ready for this week!

Whew, it's been quite a week of catching up with print orders and finishing the last of my sessions here in CT.  The weather has been cooperative (well, almost) and I am officially finished with sessions...now to all the editing! 

**a special note for my Chicago readers...we are spending July 31-August 14 in the Saugutuck/ Douglas area of Lake Michigan.  If you spend your summer in the surrounding area and would like to have a beach session this August, send me a note asap to reserve a date.  I have decided to take on a few bookings before our move to London and have just a few additional spots available.

So, on to a few previews...here's a little guy I have had the pleasure of watching grow this year.  I loved seeing his newborn storyboard hanging in the playroom.  We also used this combination for his birth announcement last year and it remains one of my favorites~

Well, you have changed quite a bit in just one year.  This little one was busy!!  Glad to see I could keep up with all that fast-paced walking!

at just 5-weeks-old, this little one was alert!  She didn't miss a one single photo...not even a tiny cat nap.  What a cutie!  Such a pleasure to meet you little one...

Whew, I have been trying my best to keep up, but I am in marathon mode lately with wrapping up my sessions before our move to England.  I have too many favorites from this recent playdate session. Here are just a few previews until the galleries are ready~

I met up with two different moms groups this week for a series of short and sweet playdate sessions in the park.  We had beautiful weather (which was miraculous in itself after weeks of rain) and we captured some fantastic images for Father's Day.  And, as a mom that is never in any photos, these mom and child portraits hold a very special place in my heart...
