I think hallways make the perfect showcase of your favorite family photos.  Too keep it interesting, plan to rotate the arrangement and swap out the photos from year-to-year.  What a treat for your guests to stumble upon a hallway like this...

here is a Wink favorite of all time.  The parallel lines of the frames below allow for a graphic arrangement of different sized prints and frames.  I have had quite a few clients duplicate this in their own homes and it works equally well with matted frames...

when looking for inspiration for your own gallery, take a look at different sized arrangements and make a note of the frames shapes and sizes.  This gallery would translate well if replaced with portraits.

I absolutely adore this headboard wall of photos!  The edge-to-edge design keeps all the frames straight and makes a great focal point behind the bed.  This idea would also work well behind a desk, in the kids' playroom or even in a vertical arrangement at the end of a hallway.  I especially love the idea of incorporating the solid colors and close-up shots in the arrangement below.  To complete the design, consider adding artistic gift wrapping, beautiful wallpaper, even your own kids' art into some of the frames...

frame inspiration | day 1

I have been collecting some great frame display ideas for a few months now and thought it would be great to find the time to do an entire week of inspiring design posts.  So, it the spirit of the snow day we are currently enjoying here in Westport, I thought I would start the series off with white!  I love the simplicity of white on white frames featured below and I think they work equally as well with b&w or color photos...

I love seeing the big changes to my newborns in just a short amount of time...here is another spring baby from 08 that returned for an updated collection of portraits.

While editing these recent images from a newborn session this week, I am just in love with the beautiful simplicity of the b&w images set against black..hands down my favorite way to capture a newborn!  We actually set up the shots in the client's kitchen and the wall of windows and skylights made for the perfect little studio...

when baby makes three...or is it four?

I have never met a dog so eager to be photographed as this little guy here...I think he's noticed that there have been some big changes at home lately...

and after way too many weather delays and having to re-schedule our session at least 3 times (welcome to New England in the winter!), we finally had a beautiful, bright day and I was able to finally meet this adorable new baby girl...
